Setting Up Your ABN in Build Stability
What is an ABN?
Your Australian Business Number (ABN) is an 11-digit number that identifies your business. It must appear on all tax invoices you issue.
How to Add Your ABN:
1. Go to Business in the main menu 2. Scroll down to the Tax Compliance section 3. Your country is automatically detected from your Business Profile 4. Toggle "Registered for GST" to Yes 5. Enter your 11-digit ABN — it is validated using the official ATO checksum 6. Click Save Settings
Your ABN is automatically synced to Stripe and added to all future invoices.
Build Stability will automatically validate your ABN format, sync it to your Stripe account, add "Tax Invoice" labels to your invoices, and include your ABN on all client invoices.
Do not have an ABN?
You can apply for one at the Australian Business Register (ABR). It is free and usually instant for sole traders.
